DoD Agencies: Indicate Your CITEP Interest

The Cyber Information Technology Exchange Program (CITEP) provides a unique opportunity for DoD Components and private sector organizations to share best practices, gain a better understanding of cross-sector information technology operations and challenges, and partner to address these challenges. In addition, CITEP can be used to enhance the Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity (IT/Cybersecurity) competencies and technical skills of employees from the DoD civilian information technology workforce and their peers from the private sector.

DoD Components may post CITEP opportunities in the Talent Marketplace, where they will be viewed by candidates who express interest in participating in the program and seek to have their skills and profile reviewed for specific opportunities.

CITEP is open to DoD civilian employees who:

  • Are currently at GS-11 and above (or equivalent); and
  • Working in a DoD cyberspace operations field, or the employment of cyberspace capabilities where the primary purpose is to achieve objectives in or through cyberspace; or
  • Working in DoD IT, involved in the planning, organizing, staffing, directing, integrating or controlling of information technology, including occupational specialty areas such as system administration, IT project management, network services, operating systems, software application, cybersecurity, enterprise architecture, policy and planning, internet/web services, customer support, data management and system analysis; and
  • Possess exceptional performance, which means the DoD civilian employee meets or exceeds all standards established at the fully successful level or above and makes significant contributions towards achieving organizational goals.

If you are a manager or supervisor with a DoD Component and wish to post a CITEP opportunity in the Talent Marketplace, you will need to request an account to be provisioned for you. Please provide the requested information below. Once the provided information has been reviewed and approved by the DoD Office of the Chief Information Officer, you will be provisioned an account for accessing the Talent Marketplace as a manager or supervisor. You will need to go thru various authentication processes, which require email address and work cell phone.
